Joshua is an associate in the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Department. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the Singapore University of Social Sciences in 2021 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar 2022. His practice is focused on complex construction and commercial arbitration / litigation. Joshua has acted in a variety of construction-related matters, including SOPA adjudications, construction arbitrations, setting aside applications for interim injunctions. Prior to joining the firm, Joshua’s practice also included criminal defence work and family litigation. He continues his criminal defence work under the Law Society’s Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (CLAS).
Prior to being called, Joshua served in the Singapore Police Force for 4 years. As part of his duties, he responded to tense and dangerous situations and conducted preliminary investigations at crime scenes. His meticulous and inquisitive nature has helped him uncover crucial evidence and extract valuable information from witnesses. Joshua was recognised for his diligence and received several awards during his time in the Police Force, including 2 awards for proactive arrests, the Commander’s Award (Jurong Police Division) for his “excellent ground knowledge and skilful interviewing techniques”, and the Service Excellence Award (Silver).
Joshua’s legal practice is characterised by his persistence and meticulous nature – attributes which were cultivated during his time in the Police Force.
